EMMA ROI
Treble the value you get from solar and wind
EMMA trebles the amount of solar PV/wind power you can consume usefully and efficiently on site (i.e. you use 95% instead of only 30%). This makes the addition of EMMA to your microgenerator a sound investment: you get more use of the electricity produced by your generator, your electricity bills are cut and your carbon footprint is reduced.
EMMA pays for itself in four years
The standard ROI for EMMA is 25%. Use the calculators below to see what EMMA could save you. These are example calculations so you will need to adjust the figures to suit your own situation. For a quote for EMMA, contact your local reseller.

Notes:
* Every household differs in its production and use of electricity, so no single calculation will cover everyone. Each prospective customer should do the ROI calculation for their own set-up.
** The level of savings varies considerably from site to site. Customers see additional savings when they stop using inefficient gas or oil boilers to heat domestic hot water, instead - where possible - using the surplus electricity being used by their generators. One client saved an additional €2000 per annum in heating oil by making his oil boiler redundant for most of the year. These figures do not account for energy inflation nor is the rate for PE fixed.
*** Customers are also displacing CO2 emissions and grid losses by using the EMMA controller.
**** For every kW of your solar/wind electricity that you use onsite you save around 15p because you do not have to later import this electricity from the grid. (15p is a representative cost per unit electricity based on price increases announced mid-2011). It clearly makes financial sense to use as much of what you generate onsite and avoid export electricity. EMMA allows you to do this.
***** Your payback time on EMMA is directly related to energy prices. As these go up, the payback time for EMMA shortens. As feed-in-tariffs fall, your payback time also shortens.
